Dr. Mickey was born in Osceola, Nebraska. He was raised in and graduated from high school in Stromsburg, Nebraska. He received his B.S. from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. Dr. Mickey is a member of both the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
He is very active serving on various committees at Trinity Lutheran Church and is a member of Elk’s Country Club. He and his wife Connie have three children, Josie, Sydney and Brody. Dr. Mickey has been a part of the Columbus community since 1995, when he started his optometric career.
He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events and playing golf.
